Hello visitor!
My name is Matthew Glanfield and welcome to Random RPG! This site was created for the sole purpose
of providing a very rich resource of ideas to GMs, DMs, and players alike. This project started in February
2004, and has been continuing ever since.
My brother and I started this site for different reasons. My brother wanted to program a database-driven
web site, and I wanted to make a great resource for RPG games. I got the idea for a random idea generator
from RPG Sheets, a web site dedicated
to providing Character Sheets. They also have a random idea generator tool on their web site. I wanted
to expand on that idea and dedicate an entire web site to it, where GMs could come back time and time again
and get new inspirations for their game. And so this site began!
Seeing as how I cannot come up with an infinite number of ideas for my game, I look to other GMs to
provide inspiration. That is why anybody can register for free and start submitting ideas. Of course,
to insure that only quality ideas get submitted, they are accepted or declined by a real human being,
whether myself or another moderator. I don't want a GM to have to go through a pile of garbage ideas just
to find that gem. They all should be gems in my opinion!
As this is a free resource, donations are gladly accepted. Proceeds
will go towards the maintaining of this web site and further marketing for it.
